Played the new Magnum album for the first time and the initial impression is favourable. Looking forward to seeing them next month.

Magnum as in the 70's 80's band? Didnt know they were still going. We sold loads of that 'Chase The Dragon' LP in the Records shop i used to work in the early 80's..

Magnum did stop going for a while but came back some time ago. I met them in a record store a couple of years ago. Chase the Dragon was the album that got me into them in the early 80s.

Thanks to Paradise radio I was introduced to Jesse Sykes (they played a track called "the dreaming dead").

Found a used CD on eBay - Jesse Sykes and the sweet hereafter, "Oh my girl" (vinyl much too expensive for a punt!). Highly recommended.

The first music I've played 'properly' in a fair time now. I wonder if that's what it is?.....

I had forgotten how good this album is. Keith Relf's last work before his untimely death from electrocution.
