Got to agree Fretless, latest London Grammar LP is getting some serious play time in our house, love Hannah Reid's voice, haunting.

Stevie Wonder - Music of my mind

Image

Released in 1972 and his fourteenth yes 14th album. It was Stevie's first step into artistic maturity and reflected his new found control of his musical output. He plays all the instruments apart from guitar and trombone and there is much use of synthesizers.

A fantastic album but a little sibilant in places. Not so sibilant when using semi Omni speakers  This is the album before Talking Book (superstition) .

Currently listening to "Lou Rawls Sings, Les McCann Ltd. Plays - Stormy Monday" Capitol Mono LP. Recorded in 1962. I love this record, Lou Rawls' voice and his soulful interpretations of Blues and Jazz standards. Great album.

Another inspiring vocal album I bought lately 2nd hand and love to listen to is Johnny Hartmann - Once in Every Life, 1980 LP on the underrated but excellent Bee Hive label. What a voice of the true master of ballads.:-)
