I'm quite a fan of film music. There's quite a few Danny Elfman soundtracks I'm fond of including the score for the first Tim Burton 'Batman' movie.
This time I bought and listened to Hans Zimmer's 'Dark Knight Rises' before I went to the film: the soundtrack, I thought, was quite good.
Today, I've had a bit of an orgy: I saw the film at the local Imax and, quite apart from the score, the musical choices I found interesting.
This evening I listened to the soundtrack again.
Apart from some bits where the music has been cut to the film, this is a fantastic piece of thematic music and quite a good bit of percussive music.
Anyway, after an hour of these tone explorations of deep self questioning, I felt like a quick shower of pure joy: so a quick blast of the Funk Off Band did the job.

Music ... Fantastic!

Brothers in Arms, bloody brilliant.
Was on Spotify and all sounded good, downloaded it from iTunes and all sounded a lot more close and personal. :)

I've been 'darn sarf' and visited the V&A (thus confirming my memory of what a great place it is). Some of the exhibits have a sound presentation with headphones. One altar piece had a bit of period music to go with it: Polophony and chant with a simple organ accompaniment. Blimey, that got the horripilations going. Trouble is, I've now forgotten what the music was. (as if I needed an excuse to go again). At least now I can name a saint associated with a dragon other than George!
