Penterakt 'Conquest of the Moon' (2020)

The members of pan-European collective Kubusschnitt are still active and two of them have been collaborating at long-distance between Belgium and the UK during the lockdown to work on ideas for a forthcoming Kubusschnitt album. These quarantine sessions went so well that they decided to put them out as a separate release and this is it.

'Conquest of the Moon' is excellent, sequencer-driven electronic space-music that carries you along on a ride through vast spaces with flowing currents of energy and time - bodes well for the next Kubus album!

As a general rule I try not play more two consecutive albums from the same artist or even of the same genre to keep things fresh, occasionly rules get broken but March has seen me staying faithful to the rule of two.

Yesterday a copy of World Party's wonderful Goodbye Jumbo LP arrived with postman Pat, after a quick visual check and an ultrasonic clean on it went and its a glorious sound, it takes me back to those days and because I haven't heard it in many years it had a mildly fresh feel.
