Wakeman had quit and Yes we're looking for a new keyboard player. Anderson had guested for a song on 'Heaven and Hell' and he approached Vangelis to take over.

A rehearsal session occurred where apparently an amazing jam happened. But when they tried to play existing songs, the V couldn't adapt to them. The only way it would work was for Yes to effectively act as Vangelis backing band.

They hired Patrick Moraz instead.

I heard similar Fretless regarding Vangelis and Yes, at the end of the day though there is only one Rick Wakeman.

Listened to an assortment today, Yes Jethro Tull and Pink Floyd
