Interesting.
Would it be possible to replace the transformers in Statement PSU's and BBPSU ? (don't know what size they are but pretty big). I have six of the buggers and even with a mains regenerator and BMU my system still sounds like a small sub-station!
A bit off topic but try a DC blocker. It transformed my set up. Almost as big an improvement as the BMU.

ATL are really good to deal with and I put in one of theirs. Best to be done before Brexit.
Tried it mate. Richard called down to my place, when I couldn't get the Cubix-Pros to sound as I'd like, and I mentioned it to him then. He just put it down to having a bunch of very large transformers all running together in close proximity. It's not shockingly bad but it is audible.
Audio Grail "Sable" Garrard 401 with constrained layer plinth / SME V / Benz Micro Gullwing SLR, Phono 3 + 2X BBPSU - MEGA!, NVA TAS, NVA Cubix-Pro, (top & mid sections). (Oh and Richard's Sony CDP-X779ES, (if I can fix it), for when I fancy a bit of the devil's spawn!)

Fair one DQ I misread the post and thought it referred to the difference between the old TX and the new TX in the amplifiers

I think DQ means if the transformers in Zebbo's Statement PSU and BBPSU get replaced with Toroidy 150VA

And why would 500va be replaced with 150va it doesn't make sense - Trioidy is making audio grade transformers from 20va to 2500va but are happy to provide up to 5000va on request

I wasn't talking about changing 500va transformers for 150va, that would be bonkers. I was thinking about the possibility of obtaining some of these "upgrade" transformers the same size as mine, simply in the hope that they were quieter.
