I should add that most of those taken in by the Wave cable scam seem to be from the USA. The ghost of George iii getting his revenge.
What is the wave cable scam ? First I've heard of it

Interesting that we should agree that no fuse is better than a fuse, which suggests that the fuse is affecting the sound. The fact is that most of us have several fuses between the wall socket and the equipment, the plug on the multi-way extension, the multi-way extension and one in each plug attached to the equipment. The fuse in the multi-way extension is completely unnecessary by the way. Reducing the number of mains fuses may well make a difference.

If the absence of a fuse affects the sound can we say, with certainty, that a "better" fuse won't come somewhere between a standard fuse and no fuse? I don't think we can. Which prompts me to suggest that, where a fuse is necessary, a "better" fuse may be beneficial. I cannot however believe that such a "better" fuse will bring about more than about 50p worth of improvement and certainly not $700 of improvement.

Before you decide to replace all your fuses with 6mm copper bar, remember that the fuse is there to protect the supply not the equipment.

It's not a scam, to my mind. It's a handmade cable, made in small quantities. It's not cheap but it is far from the worst example of pricing in the cable market.

Hello and welcome. You are in the right place but you need to swear an oath that all expensive fuses are indeed utter bollocks and that all said fuses should be sought out amongst all the wild places of this land and destroyed.

May I point out that, we know removing a fuse has a beneficial effect, can we be absolutely certain that a "better" fuse isn't possible?

I took the advice that "the best fuse is no fuse at all," but everything has now stopped working. Have I done something wrong? I ask this with some urgency as there's now about an inch of water at the bottom of the fridge/freezer, although it has cured the hum.
