Yes and I am happy to be one of them. I am very satisfied with my vinyl set up, it makes me play more music, the music it plays makes me happy and with the right track it stirs my emotions and lifts my spirits :)

Whilst I have never owned a rega deck, I do own and enjoy one just as contentious it seems. Its down to whatever YOU are happy with. The rest is just opinions after all.

Are we talking old Rega here or the new ones? The old ones I found pretty uninspiring but competent. New models i've heard p3 / p6 sound a whole lot better. Don't have that 'Rega sound' all of them had previously. Just need to be careful with sighting still. I would suggest Michell or Notts Analogue with the cash from selling the Lp12 or maybe try one of the new Technics (GR/G) models. They might surprise you and are set up and forget apart from maybe upgrading cables and mat.

I liked the '10' that I heard. Good fun. A mile away from the '6' that I had for a few months.

Rega, Lp12 whatever, does it really matter if you are happy? One day hopefully I maybe able to hear what others tell me are better. That being the case I for one would have no hesitation in doing so. Until then I will just keep doing what I do. Vinyl reproduction imo is a minefield, most people believe they have a better answer :|

I prefer even LP12s to repetition... ;)
