You do seem to be fixated with frequency, DQ. You appear to be overlooking Nick’s observation that his PSU is engineered to provide a low distortion sine wave, which he believes is the factor the has most influence to sonic performance.

Those are details for others to assess, I have made up my mind.
It is currently 50.02

It would be interesting to see a trace of the 50 (ish) Hz sine wave from the domestic mains.Daniel Quinn wrote: ↑Fri Oct 23, 2020 8:13 pm Those are details for others to assess, I have made up my mind.

Anyone here with an oscilloscope ?

That will vary from region to region and house to house. A better thing to measure (also carefully) is the distortion levels. Connecting a scope directly across the mains is not something I would recommend.

To sum up in as few words as possible after more than a years use... Just get one.

Re: Longdog PSU with Lenco GL75
Unlikely. Most equipment is fine with 50Hz to 60Hz. Switch mode supplies don't care, and as long as voltage differences are handled, generally a transformer will be happier at 60Hz than 50. Unless the device uses the mains frequency as its timebase then it doesn't matter. And even then it is unlikely to cause death, just incorrect timekeeping. Its why the national grid only worry about the number of cycles in a day (ie the average over 24 hours), not the moment to moment variation, its so those remaining clocks that use the mains frequency keep time from day to day,Daniel Quinn wrote: ↑Fri Oct 23, 2020 7:31 pm Fluctuation outside very narrow parameters causes death of electrical appliances.
About what, I am not sure, but hey ho.Those are details for others to assess, I have made up my mind.

Maybazee I wouldn't trust that app. If you can afford a long dog, you can afford a more accurate speed calculator.
And lurcher, that's why it's my mind and not yours.

I made a basic statement. I did not direct it towards anyone in particular. It’s your bed. I’m happy to sleep elsewhere.
