The f5 warms up quickly enough, so does everything else.
I find it abit silly to leave things on for the sake of half an hours warm up
I dont relish the possibility of something going pop in the middle of the night and waking up dead from smoke inhalation.
Sorry, its one of those hifi things i simply dont get
That would be a clever trick...

I unplug equipment when I go on holiday. Those were the days. I think constantly switching kit on and off is not a good thing. I unplug the tv at night because it is connected to an external dish. A lot of idiots have issues with leaving kit on stand by because they have been brain washed by the climate change nutters. Had a right ding dong with one on Facebook as he thinks I am destroying the planet.

NVA amps and phonostage on 24/7 for me ( except holidays ). Likewise for my DAC which again draws very little current on idle. I use a Purepower regenerator for all my kit which I think double insures for any nasty mains electrical issues that might happen in the wee hours.

Have to say all electrical items except the fridge and router are switched off when not in use . I did find a real warm up time for the two NVA 20 amps I swapped in to my active system but I think this was because they were similar to new having both been recently upgraded and the capacitors needed to be run in . I would think that they will be fine when used tomorrow as they have had a fair hammering today and in general I have found that with solid state items once they have got over the original burn in they are ready to go and sounding good within about five minutes of switch on . Not noticed any improvement over the next hour or so but then again not had the 20's in the system long enough to tell , tomorrow will be a new day .
