Qobuz price drop

Unread post by CN211276 »

Qobuz have reduced the price of their annual subscription by £100 to £150. Have taken this up as what I have paid to my current subscription will be offset. I see this as a response to Tidal's Black Friday give away. My 120 days runs out next month and I will not be paying £20 a month. Althogh Tidal's catalogue is slightly better, I have a slight preference for the SQ of Qobuz which is the main consideration. It will be interesting to see what Tidal come up with in response. Amazon is a non starter for me because of its incompatibilty with other apps. Spotify Premium is now only £5 a month cheaper than something which blows it away on decent equipment, wonder if they might lower the price or introduce lossless.

The catch seems to be that you are committed for 12 months. Therfore it is more cost effective to pay for the year rather than monthly. I think that they might be concerned that Tidal might come up with something more attractive.
