A lot of all three about, naming no naims.

AQ Carbon made quite a difference to my system and the i Purifier 3, at a similar price, even more so.

I'm probably going to get all sorts of flak/shit for saying this, and I do say it with affection, but does anyone else think this thread might not have lasted 15 pages if Richard was still with us? Not to mention the 15-page thread discussing the relative merits of Ethernet switches and cables for audio.

Richard did acknowledge that digital was not his comfort zone and I do recall him saying something on the lines that TIS has the greatest effect with digital systems.

Heads up for those using or considering USB audio links. The Schiit Wyrd appears to be in the process of being discontinued due to insufficient sales. Schiit will not be making more when current stocks are sold out.



The Wyrd is an excellent little device, certainly in my setup - although I was sceptical at first.

The are other USB purifiers around, like the one from Ifi, but the Wyrd might still be a bit of a bargain.

To refer to a couple of points above:

I do not post on any other forums, and have currently no wish to do so.

RD wasn't a fan of digital, but he might well have been interested in the groups findings about removing EM crap to improve SQ.

Looks like the Wyrd is sold out through the official channels. The sites in UK and NL report that they have no stock and refer you to the US homepage where the Wyrd isn't even listed anymore.

Another device that is being removed from sale is the Schiit Eitr. A USB-SPDIF converter.
