Hello! I have noticed that B&W speakers do not enjoy much recognition here. In our country (in the Czech Republic) they are recognized and respected. I have B&W CDM 9NT (purchase price of new was 100000 Czech crowns = more than (current) 3000 £).
I'm happy with them, but I want to try CUBE (my music system is under the line). Reportedly they should play much better.
Does anyone have personal experience and comparison? Thanks for the comments.

Re: CUBE vs B&W
I used to use Linn Isobariks. When bariks were discontinued and I was listening to a proposed, non speaker, upgrade to my system, the dealer presented some B&W speakers as being close to Bariks. By the looks of the CDM 9nt, might have been them. I really can't remember too much about them.
Cubes present music differently and that struck me the first time I heard them. I really couldn't put into words what it was, but it intrigued me. I think that they just present music in a much more natural way, for me.

Re: CUBE vs B&W
I used B&W P4 speakers SEE HERE in my main system for 20 years and was perfectly happy with them for all that time, until i started building semi omni cube like speakers. My B&W were 2 way floor standers with transmission line loading for the bass. As the rest of my system got better (in a hifi sense) they never failed to keep up and show the changes. I just got a bit tired of the in your face presentation and the metal dome tweeter started to grate a little.
Moving on to semi omni speakers was something i am glad i did because i much prefer the presentation. I could go back to the B&W if i had to and owning them for so long i don't think i can part with them

Re: CUBE vs B&W
Main problem with B&W CDM 9NT is that those are ported so you will not find a lot of love for them here unfortunately
How far from Ostrava/Karvina are you?

Re: CUBE vs B&W
a bit too far for me to travel with cubes - sorry
and my house is currently in a state of such a disarray that it would be impossible to invite you over to listen to them here.
