I had a long conversation with Richard about it. Which is why I have a Rel gathering dust in my garage....

I have been planning on adding two subs to my cube2's. I am going to use 2 bk xls 200 mk2's. These are powered 275 w 10" sealed subs. Using the high level inputs straight from my NVA 80w mono outputs. I dont see a problem the amp should only see 100k ohm as per the bk manual and this is easier to integrate being fed by the same signal as the cubes.

You can connect an active sub to one of the outputs on an NVA passive pre no problem. There is not an issue with compatibility doing it this way.

I used to have this Wharfdale sub connected as Classic described. I found that my Cube 3s sounded better without it, but think it could benefit Cubettes.

It's all about what compromises you can live with...and which ones you prefer to live without.

I seem to be most sensitive to timing and pitch. Hence, I prefer to live without subs, ports and belts.

From what I've heard, the best way to get scale, ease and believable bass is a 12 or 15 inch woofer or the larger Cube / Cubix.

All just my taste / experience/ opinion. Whatever makes you happy, makes you happy. Let us know how you get on....

Hey Savvy a few posts have got me worried now. Should it be ok to connect a powered sub to each of my A80's. I will be using the subs high level inputs which have a load of 100k ohm according to the bk manual. The A80's wont be driving anything as such so this should be ok. Am I correct?
