Fascinating. Each to their own I suppose.
I like music first and hifi second.

Re: What does hi-fi mean
i think a good sounding system will induce a person to listen for extended periods. If there are any nasties fatigue is likely to set in. Also with a good sounding system an individual is more likely to seek out new music.charlieboy wrote: ↑Thu Jan 17, 2019 3:23 pm Fascinating. Each to their own I suppose.

Re: What does hi-fi mean
Yes a good sounding system is but one of the factors in enjoying music, but intrinsically music of itself whether live or recorded is the thing that drives me personally. The reason why I have upgraded and improved my hifi is to enjoy recorded music even more, not to have a better hifi in itself. Hence music > hifi.CN211276 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 19, 2019 11:17 ami think a good sounding system will induce a person to listen for extended periods. If there are any nasties fatigue is likely to set in.
