Postage could be tricky - maybe Marco can advise?

No wonder sane people take the piss out of hi-fi enthusiasts when they read this stuff.

The Hallograph Soundfield Optimizer consists of two arrays that are easily placed behind each speaker near the corners of the back wall.
Not with my corner horns they're not! :violence-smack:

£1500 for 5 or 6 pieces of wood and 1 to 4 small metal brackets. Okay...

Any other business or hobby they would be laughed out of existence - so what is wrong with us.

Hmm... it could be that filling a room with farts could change the gas density inside the room, which may well alter the sound. A more effective tweak than the granny's wool winders in the OP I'd guess. Perhaps someone should pick up Doc's idea and follow through? On second thoughts.... :naughty: ... I don't want a hifi that hums.

The first time I was made aware of laughing stock tweaks in the world of hi-fi was in the 1980's when UK hi-fi mags were Linn house magazines, with dealers following suit.

So that my first hi-fi system had the system installed with the speaker cables placed with the writing on the jacket running from the amp to the speakers.

The bolts in my headshell and arm mounting were tightened beyond their elastic limits and into the plastic zone.

At the demo all other speakers were removed from the room, including phones, alarms, digital watches.

The belt on the turntable was marked with an arrow in biro to denote the outside and the direction of travel.

All of which made no difference to my ears or a difference so subtle that the claimed importance of these tweaks was greatly over exagerated.

These blunt wooden tridents are merely another in this laughing stock tradition.
