Hi-fi terminology has very little to do with making good choices. It is meaningless, sends you off in tangents or in circles, it just confuses everyone. You are listening to music so judge hi-fi (as in the old concept of sound systems) in terms of the music.

They are all connection, if you don't get any then you wouldn't bother. The odd one that makes no sense to me is hi-fi connection, it seems you have to connect to strange things like inky blackness etc.
I get an emotional connection with the music i like what ever it is played on. But my sense of enjoyment is much greater when played on the hifi, even with music which I might not be that familiar with. I think this is where the intellectual connection comes in. I can also listen for extended periods. I do not follow scores but my thoughts go to what took place in the recording studio and mixing desk. I don't dance, but others think my system is great for dancing to.

Good, then when you describe it do so referring to music not hi-fi bollocks terminology, and others may understand you better.

Why would you need to, what has it got to do with music, if it makes the music better say so and describe it, then they may understand.
