Anyone been to a show recently where these were demoed? If so, thoughts?

I don't think you could get a good impression at a show. I have been following the thread on Head Fi. Most of the reports are favourable, but it is early days and there have been some teething problems and RF issues. I want to get to hear one next year. My Qutest is designed to connect to it via dual BNC.

I really want to learn what the TT2 presentation is like, given the approach is the complete opposite of the that used by Metrum Acoustics.

I am suspicious that a lot has been made of the RF issues by sellers of rip off BNC cables.

What I have found of note are reports that the Mscaler is most effective upscaling recordings which were made before the digital age. Don't know if this is true and, if so, what is the reason.

You and me both. His web blurb used to claim they were based on measurement, so I asked him did he have figures to show the db drop in hF noise and over what range this attenuation occurred. After a lot of bluster and asking my why I was questioning him about it if I wasn't interested in buying he told me he didn't have any measurements to back up his claims.

If one thinks it works then all one needs to do is measure the signal on the cable, so where noise exists above the sample rate and then buy suitable ferrites (which all come with their attenuation range in the data sheet) and slip a shit load of them over a cable.

Given ferrites cost a couple of quid at most you could make what he does for cost of cable + £50 and ten minutes R&D.

I suspect 'standard' BNC cables would be perfectly adequate. I did read one user had bought the 'Habst' brand, which I am not familiar with. Sounds expensive though.
