Just bought the refurbed Lenco 88 from Vinyl-Ant.
Pondering arm & cartridge combos.
This is for an all vintage, or vintage 'inspired' system, with valve amp and Klipsch Heresy so looking for something that fits aesthetically as well as sonically.
Considering...
New Arms - Jelco 750E 10", Jelco TK850S 9", SME M2
Vintage Arms - SME, Regar R200, what else ????
Cartridges - Denon 103, Ortofon SPU
What else fits the bill? Where does the best value lie?

Value and with lots normally available then Rega R200. Same arm or very similar was used in early 70's Jap DD turntables. Cart Denon 103, SPU will cost you an arm and a leg.

SPU or original Decca mk4, same arm. Decca is a risk, though the early ones are better made than the tin plate ones.
Better arm and vintage you will have to search and tell me what you find. AT1005mkII is an alternative you see quite often. Hard to find my fav NEAT arms like hens teeth especially as a snatch them up as soon as I see them.

I was going to add something here, but as my tastes are the opposite of most peeps here, I'd best shut up. The Klipsch are the problem, so you need a beefy sounding cartridge and preferably one with very low surface noise issues. I reserve judgement as to whether that Lenco is up to £2k spending on the arm or cartridge though, but that's my opinion.
