I do miss the remote on the Sony CDP-01 though, as it gets it's instructions from the partnering amp in the system it originally came with, but the thing is so easy to use and performs so well (despite it's more humble internals) it's no headache really In the workroom system, I slide the chair over and can easily reach 'stuff.' In the main stereo, the CD player has remote and nothing else, although my beloved Dual 701 is automatic - EEK!!!!!!!

My gait is still shit and my right leg is still not to be trusted because my foot,knee and part of My hamstring deosnt move . But I still get up to change a record or volume
