A60 - Help please

Unread post by Toontrev »

Looking for some help here as I've got a night off (first for months) when I can listen at my pleasure but bugger it, loud rustling noise coming out of one of the speakers.
Tried the usual cable swapping to no avail. Ended up taking the pre-amp interconnect cables out and it's still there. Nowt to do with anything but the power amp. Swapping the speaker cables plugs over moves the rustiling to the other speaker, other channel silent. Its unlistenable its that bad. Gutted.

Rustling or a faint ticking?

Comes and goes or constant?

A constant faint ticking on one channel at mine turned out be inetrference from a Sky Q box.

In the meantime, pop round and borrow a set of monoblocks off me...

Thanks guys, its constant rustling. made no difference adjusting the pot on the P50 which is why I disconnected it. Anyhoos, coz its my night off I'm persevering with some vinyl. I'm finding the more cans I have the less I'm bothered hic. I'll be sending it off Doc after tonight.
cheers

Slight misunderstanding I think. I'm not looking for a warranty claim, quite happy to pay any repair costs Doc.
Always a risk when going secondhand but I'm a keen recycler these days.
