I would recommend getting a turntable and selling CD player

Are you feeling alright Dan?, i am just about to do the complete opposite,
it takes more faff to get good sound from analogue that i am perfectly happy with my Tosh SD900e,
best £80.00 i errrver spent.

OP, if you are still looking to damp out annoying vibration in your player, ,
wing me your details and i'll pop a couple of sheets of Q damp for you to line the inside of the case,
self adhesive on one side so very easy to apply.

Q Damp looks like what I am after. I would not want to take anything from you - I'll either send you the money or just point me in the right direction to buy some myself. Stuff I have found on line was only in 4 x 4 ft sections for £35 or so.

Only Echoing what valvesRus posted earlier. If you have music on so loud the CDP enclosure vibrates id hate to have U a a neighbour

The person who would never try out the volume when the other half of his/her semi-datached house is unihabited - let him cast the next judgement.

And I have already said that I cannot move the CD player - it is behind the speakers anyway.

Wish I have never started this thread - I thought this was different to AoS.

Its nothing like AOS. & i can assure you i am not into Hi-Fi. I just found it very odd the enclosure vibrates, till i read on its a volume loudness issue..I doubt damping pads would cure the sound muddiness. All you can do is pile loads of weight on the top.
