Re: Kralk Audio. Beautiful British Speakers
Sorry but all this bling and people falling for it pisses me off. What do want, music, or "look at my beautiful speakers" and listen most of the time to shit!
It is so simple to build a real speaker, and what is in it is simple, Steve (the shadow) has taken it even further than me, if they are as good as he says, and I trust his judgement then what the feck are we doing with speaker design in this bent current hi-fi industry. It is getting further and further away from music and more and more to rip-off bling, and cost saving. All that matters to these companies is what you see, which they believe gives them their slurp..
Bit of a rant but it seriously pisses me off with the crap that is generally available through the retailers at stooopid prices. In terms of a rip-off some off it even approaches £130 SR fuses. They are badly made with computer controlled machine carved MDF or more often now HDF to give unusual shapes and anything to seem different and create bling, but the inside there is next to nothing, overdamped, ported in order to pretend to have bass, cheap drive units, with smaller and smaller magnets and coils, over complex crossovers because components are cheap so they try to compensate for the shit drivers.
EDIT - not aimed at Kraik they look far from the worst.

Re: Kralk Audio. Beautiful British Speakers
I just ignore blingy hi-End speakers period. Ive heard tons of Budget speakers over the years that have wiped the floor with Expensive designs.. Strange how all the one i liked best were Sealed enclosures

Re: Kralk Audio. Beautiful British Speakers
Has anyone seen my beautiful speakers
Built out of old bits of Ikea furniture and other odds and ends . Look like shite but sound amazing to me, although by modern standards they must sound completely naff
No more speaker purchases for me i intend to keep these forever (although built into a birch ply enclosure).
