Knocking down the players original high output sold it for me, by doing that it took away the harshness.

Must do something similar myself and get it out of the way the 3m pads arrived this morning, Chops is due a visit here so it will be interesting to hear his take on this cheapo Dac

As I said at Savvy's recent do, its very good and improved beyond belief by the introduction of the Psu which takes it from being good to being very very good. Got my Squeezebox touch playing through it at the moment because I am listening while I watch the match. I will stick it on the Cxc transport tomorrow

Ok im here thanking the Doc again over that cheap DAC i cannot believe i can sit down for hours on end listenin to CDee, wish id have discovered this years ago Vinyl would have been history a long time back. Cant wait to get my new Interconnects & Digital Lead fitted..

Ive ordered a second one, Id hate to think what i would do if something happened to the one i have..

Vinyl is deffo history now. Ive been looking for an excuse for over 20 years to put pay to it.

had one of these for about a month and had it connected to laptop via behringer uca 222 which is another hifi bargain using a wallwart power supply
i have been listening to it through a cayin c5 amp and sennheiser 650s
BLOODY HELL THAT CANT BE POSSIBLE CAN IT its not perfect but its very listenable with no digital nasties and plenty of detail it just lets the music play

so i thought maybe i would try it through digital out on my doc recommended sony x555es cd player and nva headphone amp and it did pretty well again no nasties but the amp was showing the limitations in comparison very listenable again but not in the same league.it actually sounds a lot better in the cheapo rig which i think would beat the majority of cd players
looks like I am going to have to get a proper power supply to see what it can really do
great advice as usual from the doc
