Pioneer PL71 Servicing

I recently won an auction on eBay for a PL71 at a stupidly low price. I think that most people were put off as it’s a USA model at 110 volts.
“No problem” I thought, I’ll just adjust the voltage plug inside the chassis. So I was a bit surprised / gutted when I opened her up to find no voltage plug !
A quick trip to Maplins later and the 71 is running via a voltage adaptor. This is going to have to be a temporary solution as the adaptor hums a lot so it’s starting to get on my nerves.
When I played my first record, the strobe Iight indicated that the tt was slowly losing speed with a couple of moments when the speed loss was so great that I thought that the thing had blown up. Now that a few sides have been played, everything seems to be fine and there’s no speed drift.
So, does any body know a Pioneer or tt service outfit in London or Essex ? I know that I’m being greedy having 2 of the blighters but they are soooooo good and I want a spare in case one of them has a terminal problem.
