I cannot understand for the life of me why people pay to stream music. Why not just buy music!

Maybe im old fashioned but i find this type of thing moving too far away from my comfort zone as far as old fashioned music listening goes. Even playing files makes me come over all weird

Works for me

1: Friday I can play 5 or 10 new releases all without purchasing first.
2: Those from above I like I can buy them in Hi res or Vinyl without any fear of buying a ‘duff un’

How do you manage with watching TV? It’s a similar model no? Unless you choose to record everything so you have a physical copy 😂

It works for a lot of people, Its just paying the money out & not owning something. Yeh same with TV. i really really got a chip on my shoulder about shelling out for licence but i got a wife & she watches the box so im kinda stuck..

TV aside i just find Audio enthusiasts streaming music not very Hobby like lol

The Qobuz catalogue is very good. If something I like is not included i send an email and it is usually added. Now I have got used to their interface i prefer it to Tidal. The quality of lossless streaming is usually excellent and in most cases better than CDs I have ripped. I no longer have a CD player, apart from in the car, and rarely play vinyl. I like to be in control of everything from my phone, either through the hifi in the house, or in the garden with headphones.
