I've a very funny feeling I know what the response to ths question might be....

A local charity shop is selling 2 x 1m Kimber Power Max cables at £15.00 each.

Are they worth the bother?

At £15 yes - Flip them on Ebay for profit ( I suppose donate that to charity if you feel bad about it).

To what ? another mains lead, maybe I suppose but nothing of any significance IMO. To a hard wired lead - no way.

I use a BMU for CD, Radio and 2 x NVA mono power amps through round-pin plugs. Wondered about connecting the PSU for NVA (JS) headphone amp and Blu-ray player via these (Kimber) power leads over the conventional power lead straight into the ring main.

How are going to use IEC power leads with fixed cable units. Please leave them alone.

He has fixed (hard wired) mains leads that come with the product, even cheaper.

Unless they listen to RA and cut them to fit an IEC socket.
