It looks like MCRU has taken over

Seems that trade is limited to accessories and music.

Maybe PFP has listened to feedback from Wammers.

Maybe trade were not interested.

Either way, the focus on the enthusiast systems is a welcome outcome.

I would attend (and likely exhibit) if I were nearer...

In the past HiFi Shows I remember, safety people would go round each 'room' checking current draw so the mains system wasn't overloaded. This upset many large amps which drew something like 8A on switch-on. I think the exhibitors used to switch on and off quick, so that when the safety people came round, the subsequent draw would be less.

Mcru has posted on Waswam saying he is bringing a van "full of vinyl and mains bits and bobs".
Translation - rip off kettle leads and illegal fuses.

Seams to be a continuing theme of playing the man not the ball here.? Where is the moderation?

I’ve no link to MCRU but sure as he’ll know there not the only seller in HI-FI world to sell mains cables or fuses.

The ongoing digs here are becoming as tiring as reading AOS

It is not ad hominem as MCRU is part of the subject. You really need to understand the rule. It applies to individual threads. In its simplest form someone posts I don't like your system and the reply is well I don't like you then - playing the man not the ball. As far as I know MCRU is not a person it is a company and it is attending this show SO is part of the subject, anything legal can be said that is on topic / on subject. The fact that MCRU is owned by a person is meaningless, he may be a member here but his company isn't. If David Brooks has the guts to post here again he will be treated and protected by the ad hominem rule the same as everyone else.

I bow to your finer knowledge of the rules Sir.

Still not cricket in my eyes.
