The big TQ guy might be unappealing, but he's essentially correct. In digital-audio signals are encoded electrically as one of two voltage states, high or low. Neither of them is 0v so essentially it is just another analogue signal, it just happens to contain digital data that can be extracted when filtered.

But he is a massive arsehole, none the less. That photo is just horrible, it looks like an advert for wife beating.

It can be done so imagine it.

Seems to be everywhere and getting worse. It has been going on with training shoes for many years. I buy mine for no more than £15 at Tesco. Just the same as the three figure designer :Bllocks: :grin:

IMHO that's not a good comparison. Whether the trainers perform any differently is an irrelevance as for 99% of folk they're fashion items and they're prepared to pay for the different colour, style or whatever. Anyone can see the difference compared with your Tesco trainers, the same, perhaps, could not be said for most of the stuff discussed on this thread....
