Not a single customer review. Wonder if they actually sold any.

In 2017 a new Linn LP12 motor and pulley was approx. £99 and apparently now £180!..how can that be justified?

Damn, I will have to be more careful, I left my LP12 running for a couple of days last week (arm lifted thankfully). I was wondering how much a new motor would cost, although everything seems ok.

Have any of these characters put forward any scientific measurements or explanations as to how these gizmos actually work?

I realise NVA kit is a bit off-the-wall, but at least there's a sound scientific basis to the designs.

The motor is apparently derived from an electric clock motor of old, so a few thousand hours without maintenance shouldn't be beyond it... The bearings are get-at-able to lubricate if you're worried (not sure what Rega/Linn suggest these days but Signals may be able to supply a tiny quantity needed if you provide a small syringe with large-bore needle. The belt pulling and thrust bits underneath should prevent wear or slop in the bushes ever really being an issue.

Linn do a good job making their motor pulleys so of course you have to contribute to the lathe that turns them up and the person/tooling needed to fit it to the motor spindle - no superglue here as Rega use ;)

While the sheeple with money buy into the LP12, it'll keep going up in price. Once demand stops being viable, they'll discontinue it methinks.

- That's what I've been trying to say, albeit clumsily and I totally agree!

Elac AM 200 Active speakers released in late 2016 £530. Today £995.
Having been a happy user of Elac speakers for years I considered buying these until the price piss-take occured.
NVA amps, speakers, interconnects & speaker cables produce the music.

With help from Technics, Audio Technica, Jelco, Hana, Musical Fidelity, Sony, Cyrus & Soneteer.
