Mainly I use Sonos and Pi network players to listen to rips of my CD collection.
But I do spin a CD from time to time - and that far more often than I get an LP out.

Got a Pro-ject Debut 2 with A&R P77 cartridge in the lounge and a Logic DM101 / Syrinx LE1, which needs repairs, in the attic.
Still have a couple of hundred LP's left from the Dark Ages.

I can see us all 'flocking' back to CD players in 15 years time.......

in a charity shop somewhere near you....... 'these little discs are so cute...' and 'Look I can spread jam on the disc and it still plays '

The CD revival is probably already under way. Already a supposed cassette revival. Bloody 8 track next followed by Elcassette and DCC !

Didn't take my speakers and amps along to Edinburgh, as my listening plan is two-staged. First is the visit to the store in Edinburgh where I listened to the Primare CD22 along with a Primare integrated amp (same range) and pair of Kef speakers priced about £800.00. The sound at the shop was good but quite a way below the performance of the Rega through my amps and speakers in terms of extension, drive, musicality (?) and general sound.

Stage two is bringing the demo unit home with me, and connected it up with my system. The result was quite lovely. The Primare is a much more modern unit than the Rega and is both very driving, involving, very precise but neutral. Technology has moved on quite a bit since I bought the Rega and I'm quite satisfied the performance of the Primare is better, at least to my ears, than my Rega.

I've ordered a new unit which will arrive later this week. All-in-all I'm well pleased.

Q for doc.... What will be the cost of converting my 1m TIS single interconnect to a pair of phono interconnects? Retain existing terminations and add two more. Not bothered about matching termination pairs.

More of a PITA than you think, I will try to avoid it if I can. Just trade it in. I am off the scale with work and because of the construction it will take longer to do that than build a new pair.

Thanks Richard. I understand. Been trying to source a 1m single length of TIS Mk1 but so far no go. I'll think on what I want to do. For the time-being I'll use a pair of SSp's.

Sell it as a digital here, I am sure someone wants it.
