On the satisfaction front, you may well get to the end of the road when you run out of things you'd like to try. When you get to the point where changing something might produce a difference, but there's not a good chance it'll result in an overall improvement.

I am thinking also the Kenwood DP7090 had 16 TDA DAC chips or something. You would need a fork and salt/vinegar for so many chips!
