Far more wobble than a belt drive TT, far more hiss than a snake, horrible bloody things - you will be singing the praise of 8 track next.

Ah yes the 8 track. When I was 10 years old I asked for a stereo, and got one of those all in one systems from Zenith. It had an 8 track player. Somewhere I got a copy of ZZ Top Fandango on 8 track. Got exposed to Texas blues. That early ZZ Top was fascinating music. Remember Heard it on the X and Blue Jean Blues. Ended up gaining an appreciation of early ZZ Top. And have fond memories of that 8 track. Hated the way it would cycle to the next section in a middle of a song though.

In my later teens I bought a Tandberg TCD 310 from the local paper classifieds. Was a decent deck. I still have it, but have not used it in years. Needs to be gone through, but not sure what purpose I would use it for.

Remember em fondly...My uncle had one in his car...S&G BOTW sticks in my mind. :!:
And for some strange reason a lot of fishing boats / trawlers had em fitted... :!: :!:

When I worked for B.T (it was still the post Office then) we turned an 8-track deck into music-on-hold for our works phone. We used one of these... Image to switch it in and out.
If I remember correctly there was a choice of Osibisa, Santana, or Cream's Farewell Concert at the Albert Hall.
