Re: Fire Stick
A USB/HDMI device that connects to your TV and streams internet based content via your broadband router over WIFI. It can also do a lot more than that if you are prepared to tinker under the hood.

Re: Fire Stick
As George just said : Same as Chromecast & Apple TV.
A Wifi device you plug into your TV and then you can stream films/series/videos direct from the internet.
This one is from Amazon and might restrict you to using their services.

Looks like you get the free services free - like iPlayer - but you will need to pay for Amazon Prime TV (get an amazon Prime membership).

Re: Fire Stick
They advertise it so that it looks like a complete all-singing all-dancing service but neglect to mention that the majority of the content it accesses has to be paid for.

Re: Fire Stick
There isn't anything wrong with paying for content. We pay monthly subscriptions to Netflix, Amazon and Tidal.

Re: Fire Stick
Well I don't, it is a question of principle as far as I am concerned. Sky started the shite, cricket is the thing that annoys me most, greedy bastards. So I poach the signal by watching it on my computer using Crictime. The same with all other subscription services.
Re: Fire Stick
Well I dont subscribe to subscriptions.
