Am I excited - nope!

Unread post by Dr Bunsen Honeydew »

I am at a loss why I should be getting excited (as AoS and TAS) about Funk Firm Boings (daft name #23). If MCRU is selling them the price must be a rip off, and what am I supposed to be doing with them.

Cut them in half put a nicely machined ali plate on the cut and sell them for £30 each (or £60 each if you are Russ Andrews) - that is this industry

Boings, isonoes, both similar and use a springy material to isolate. The Linn Trampolin uses rubbery 'glands' moulded onto the 'feet' I remember, like the Axis turntable used.

Half a squash-ball in each corner has been used by those in the know for decades now, but doesn't look posh enough and you can't make money at a fiver or less a pair...
Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way...The time has gone, The song is over, Thought I'd something more to say...

I would question the logic of springyfying an entire turntable .

I have used everything to isolate my turntable . Blocks of end grain balsa are by far the most effective . I was shocked at the difference when I listened , but I even have a scientific means of establishing this .

I put on the proclaimers and let toddler DQ dance and see if the record jumps ;)
