Apologies, wasn't very clear. Its cartridge driven going to a nva phono 1 then A80's.

Seems to be a non starter as there is several issues to overcome.

Thanks for the advice. Silver lining is if im relegated to downstairs i have a bit more freedom on what speakers I purchase.

So are the long leads to the phono1 from turntable or from phono1 to pre-amp. The former no-no, the later could be OK, but the signal will be degraded at least a little.

Would be 7m from TT to phono 1.

Whichever way i do it will be a compromise.
Best bet buy a new house and have a dedicated (wife proof) room.

I'm sure 7m of TIS wouldn't degrade the signal too much. :whistle: :lol:
