Not personally, I tend to use Beyerdynamics, but I have read good things about the brand. Perhaps you can let us know how you get on with them?

I'm using a pair of Sony MDR-7506s at the moment which are good, but the ear-pads tend to fall off if you so much as look at them a bit sternly. Oh and before anyone says "get replacement ear-pads" I have, and they're pukka Sony replacement pads, designed for the 7506s, and they fall off. :-?
If the new cans are good I think I'll glue the earpads on the old set and use them for the computer

Slinger.......Ive a few pairs of cans.
But I still enjoy a couple of great closed back model's from jvc and pioneer.
Early eighties and still sound luverly, I bought them new at the time, but see similar
models selling on the bay for peanuts.

Look forward to yer thoughts on the ATs........ :guiness;

Are the closed back, they look it. :?:

I was torn between the ATH-M50X and the similarly-priced Sony MDR-100AAP, both are closed-back designs. Ended up going for the Sony's for their smooth and non-fatiguing sound. The M50X is punchier, more detailed and Grado-like; better for studio usage.

Both are excellent headphones and I'm happy with the Sony's because they have the sound I was wanting.

Jammy - Yes, they are closed back.

Cheers for the info Fretless. To be honest I bought them on the strength of loads of reviews (not just magazine reviewer reviews but user reviews too) and the fact I could get a new pair minus the original box for £75.00 Sounds like I made the right decision.

Perms has had all the usual contenders that hi-fi dudes seem to think are good for some strange reason :lol:

Perms uses a £60 pair of Sonys while posting cack on forums..
