I first was re-awakened to the SL1200's continued existence by Ken Kessler in a late 80's FHN article. Adam Smith's alright and I have a lot of respect for him. I've bought stuff from him and we've exchanged good emails occasionally...

His 'Wealth of Nations' is a cracking good read, too.

The Techie 1200 series TT's were quite popular.

1, All speakers are crap - but some are less crappy than others.

2. Digital colours the sound less than analogue! You may not like the end result but it's true.

3. The general public out there couldn't give a toss about 'High Fidelity Sound' now as most use phones/personal music players and cheap headphones and all this 'legacy' stuff we use is just piles of ugly looking boxes!
