Do any of you power your DACs with either a battery or a linear supply? If so, which do you use?

My ton-up QED Digit Opto has the original Positron supply (re-capped) for the DAC chip and for the analogue output chip, a Caiman smps with a Mark Grant S-Booster in between. I also have an external mains filter on the supplies as well as ferrites in some sort of attempt at keeping hf nasties at bay. Sounds great to me, but sadly, Positron supplies are like hens teeth and silly money now when sold with a Digit, despite the cheapo caps inside the Positron probably leaking by now, as mine were.

I use an A-Solar Xtorm powerbank to drive the RPi. There is a model with 3 USB ports that gives a maximum output of 3.1A, it has a large capacity and only needs to be recharged once a fortnight or so.

Works fine for me.
