Have you ever had french audio at home ?

Unread post by musique! »

Hi everyone,

As I sayd , I come from France and it seems that french products are not very popular in great britain.
Certainly for historical reasons according to someones :grin: , but I'm wondering what's the other causes ?

Some of you may have heard it, some others got french speakers or amplifiers at home ?

I suggest to speak about it in here , so let's start a new discussion ! :guiness;

I've owned a couple of nice Jadis amps, and they're pretty French by any standard. The little factory in the South even has long lunch hours. Beautifully made amps, with a fine sound. France , as you know, has some serious players....how about Focal, who own Naim?
Mind you, my partner is French, and she says it's all just boys toys, wherever it is made.

Your partner is quite right except the fact she wouldn't change your system for a cheapper one :grin:

Jadis really great amplifiers knows as a must in here ! I've never heard it, but i'm actually compare an Anthem one (tubes) to my Atoll IN100SE (transistors) and i'm quite deceive by the bass and the high ranges in the first one but how nice are the voices !

French hi-fi for me has always seemed to be overpriced and elitist.

"for me has always seemed to be" this phrase says it is perception, not reality.
