I've used many amps with my JPW ML-110i speakers. Fair enough, the sound was OK but nothing spectacular.
But, whenever I use the JPW's with the Nait 5i integrated. The sound (To me ears) is very musical, enjoyable and communicative. I've owned, and used three Nait 5i's, and always get the same good results with the JPW's.
The cables mostly used with this system are the NVA LS3/Sound Cord.
It is a system/room synergy thing?

Re: Naim Nait 5i Question
The 5i in any of its forms is harsh when driven anywhere near it's limit, has no very deep bass (probably a good thing with baby speakers) and a grainy non-descript treble, possibly enhanced by a small cheap tinselly tweeter as in your JPW's.
Just so you know - and if you don't believe me regarding the amp, try it with a Flatcap 2 between the pre and power sections. It may not do anything for the hard-clipping power amp, but the bass and midrange takes on a whole new stature - been there, tried it several times and it even worked on a Nait 3 with suitable conversion, although Naim didn't endorse it - so there!
Why do I bother - the lad's had THREE of the beggars. Glutton for punishment or what

You have heard of serial killers, Shane is a serial hi-fi trier, once is not enough. Buy sell buy sell, he is obviously enjoying the process so who are we to criticise.

Re: Naim Nait 5i Question
Well, that's tough Dave! I personally find the ML-110i/5i combo musically communicative. So, go and run back to your bloody Spendors that has mollycoddled you
