My first proper turntable was a Rotel RP1500 and it was pretty good for the money.

The Rega arm looks as good as any I have seen on a Technics deck. I have never heard a DD turntable, used a lp12 for the last 27years :oops: but keep thinking of selling and maybe buying cheaper alternative since I very rarely listen to lps even though I have a good collection.

Been there, done that. Heard thinks on vinyls I'd never heard before.

Does the disc/record support thingy make the sound different, or better in your opinion? Not baiting, but genuinely interested...

Aye it does. Adds a bit more tightness to the bass notes.
