Quick view from the desk. Where I spend my non travelling work days.
The system here is a desktop pc under the desk feeding a hifimediy USB dac with 8v PSU, to a Denon PMA-255UK amp which also does headphone duties. Speakers are steel plate modified Mission 760s biwired with 4 separate lengths of some chunky non descript 'low noise professional cable' I had lying around. God knows what it is buts chunky. The missions are upside down, ie tweeters to the top.
Currently listening to radio paradise, my favourite online station. No adverts or chitchat, good varied playlist and decent quality streams.
It's a more than livable sound actually and there's amazing clarity in them little speaker boxes after modding. It's opened them right up. Next steps are drivers and crossover mods.
On the desk is my Beyer Dynamic DT100 which I use when it gets late. Also one of my DIY cigar box guitars which I've been jamming on tonight. This one a 3 string all slide guitar with a simple piezoelectric pickup. Sounds mega with a distortion pedal and amp.
Of course my electronic cigarette for guilt free nicotine in the house

I will have bet with you that a vast majority of our membership are at least overweight and a lot obese. Comes from listening to too much music while sitting and eating Maltesers. A year ago I officially bordered on obese, but now I am just overweight having lost a stone with the stress of the house move.

My desk with cabinet-modded Mission 760, MF V-CanV3 Headphone amp & Grado SR80. Beside the desk are: Sansui AU217 amp, Arcam C62T & MF M1DAC, MIT interconnects and Supra speaker cable (almost all of my old main system, in fact). Sounding really good together. Blinds are shut as the morning sun means I can't see the computer screen for the glare.
Ganesh does a great job of holding up the headphones for me.

I work off my lap, and any pics would be far too messy to publish........

Your mission speakers look like they're levitating. What are the stands? Homemade or bought? I'd like some which lift the speaker 5-6inches would be perfect.
Lovely ganesh idol too. My wife travels to India and Nepal occasionally with work and we have a mini collection of idols, she tries to get a new one each trip. Usually metal or carved miniatures. There's hundreds of them to collect they're like pokemon lol
