What is a BMU?

Unread post by despearce »

Bit of a lurker and occassional poster. I keep seeing the acronym BMU but can't work out what it stands for. I must try a NVA amp in my setup soon, the ethos behind the kit is right up my street, no faff and nothing you don't need.....

BMU: The Doc has created a mains supply box that provides AC mains of +/- 120V instead of the normal 0 - 240V. This balances the 'push - pull' effect of alternating current and enables amps and other hi-fi related equipment to operate in a more harmonious and musical fashion.

I want one ( as soon as funds allow).
