Have courage my man. Just ditch the crossover, dope the JPW cones (I will talk you through it) and run direct from the speaker terms, then just a 3.3mfd cap (good one) in series with a 12ohm 5w wirewound resistor in the pos line to the tweeter, and then sit back and listen and start smiling and say to yourself "why the feck didn't I do that before".

I found with my Audiolab speakers that sealing the rear port meant that they needed to be moved closer to the back wall (12-14 cm) to get a good, full bass sound.

No accounting for taste, to me they are daft and ugly. I prefer the Ferguson Hill approach to computers.

Ugh!

Give me some small cubes any day - interesting if the baby-baby one can be realised for £300..

Cabinet cost. I have found a company that produces a wooden cube for a different purpose, and it is reasonably cheap due to large production run, which I never could provide. A couple of hole cutters for my drill and some spray cans for primer and gloss black and we are there. The cabinet is a bit thin for a speaker but with a lining of 3mm steel plate it will be perfect. Pity this is the largest size they do.

Getting samples sent.
