Speakers

Unread post by Apprentice »

First post, yes I did search for "speakers" but it was refused on the basis that there are too many results.

So, I am not an expert, far from it. I've got a Technics 1210 deck, an AT95-E, and an NVA Phono2/PSU, P50sa and two A40 mono blocks on order. And some NVA wires yet to be decided, dependent upon which speakers.

I have received some advice, and it is interesting and diverse, any other ideas?

I don't mind if they are shelf speakers or floor standing.

The room is 6m*4m, glass walls (mostly) during the day and curtains in the evening.

I would actually like my head to explode with the sounds that I anticipate I am going to listen to, rather than the choice of speakers out there.

So, please help me, what speakers? I am think second hand, so that if I don't like them I can change them.

Do you have any speakers. What are they. In my opinion The at95e is the first priority for change.

True but against having no speakers at all - "no wires yet to be ordered depending on speakers "- might be better to get some so as to appreciate the need to upgrade the at-95e.....

Royds on ebay

Of these I'd go for the sorcerers or possibly the RR2s if you're V. quick.
I also used epos speakers with NVA amps to great effect.
Technic SL-P1200ASC>>SSP>>P50sa>>SSP>>A80>>LS6>>Royd Prior>>> and on the whole very pleased about it.

Find some large second hand JBLs ;)

Of course, your head may not explode as such but you will have some proper speakers.
