Re: Improve CD Sound (Youtube)
If he always puts his his through that process, how can he tell that it 'markedly' improves the sound?

Re: Improve CD Sound (Youtube)
I can see the sense in cleaning dirty CD's to avoid skipping.
How big a magnetic field can you get off a CD? And how much is this actually reduced by that demagnetising device? And how sensitive are the parts inside a CD player to magnetic fields?
And what problem would static on the label side cause to a CD?
And as for that device that shines a bright light onto CD's, why not just hold them up to the sun on a sunny day?
And it's interesting that he says that CD sounds warmer in his system than vinyl. Maybe he's running a bright cartridge, like an AT OC9?

Re: Improve CD Sound (Youtube)
Look, let's face it. If he's spent £600 on an optical finaliser, £250 on a de-magnatiser and £45 on an ultrasound cleaner they're bound to sound better!
Re: Improve CD Sound (Youtube)
Seems a bit OCD to me. I have read that cds come with some sort of anti fungal treatment so it may be a good idea to give them a wash but I wouldn't use a paper towel to dry them as they would scratch the cd. If it makes him feel better about his system good luck to the guy.
