Re: Royd Audio.

It's the way of the world now. Everything in a name. I grew up with, and cut my mountaineering teeth on, Karrimor products of Accrington. Now the Karrimor logo is on everything from sandals to vibrators... all of which (I'm told) are crap. Interesting who might buy the NVA name when Doc pops his clogs. Any suggestions? (Doc you can't post on this one).

BTW... Sat here ploughing through CD's with my new A70's and Cube2's..... :grin: :grin: :grin: :grin: :grin: :grin: :grin: :grin: :grin: :grin: :grin: :grin:
Primare CD22. Primare DAB/FM radio. SSP to NVA AP70 and AP10H(JS) with Denon AH-D7100's. LS5 to Cube2's.

Reading this thread is about all I know about Royd's. What is so special in orginal design that people here still are very much in love to them?

They play music in tune with correct timing, a trick very few speaker (especially BBC designs) achieve, and they do it in a small speaker.

BBC derivatives do it when NVA driven - it's called bass you know :grin: :guiness;
Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way...The time has gone, The song is over, Thought I'd something more to say...

It is different, and is difficult to explain, Gromit has made the best explanation of it and he is a Royd enthusiast as well. We should ask him to repeat it.
