Recent ebay buys
Just got some stuff lately ebay is like an addiction, I cannot resist a bargain.
These two should be looked at together

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/151256280397? ... 1439.l2649
And I couldn't resist trying this, but if I don't think it is better than my Sony Macca has 1st dibs.

I always watch these, a very underated arm but still go normally for over £100.

Re: Recent ebay buys
Only when I know I will at the least get my money back. I seem to be getting an arm collection, I like old arms :?
The gem in that lot for value is the Decca arm and cart, to get that combo in nigh perfect condition for under £300, absolute bargain. And that is the best cart Decca have ever made, better than the Londons. Now what is it going on, shall I keep the Garrard 401, well maybe. But maybe something I have my eye on at ebay at the moment

I've been there too but how the feck can an EFTA member country be subject to Moore duty?
Edit: according to some forums, you should only pay VAT plus a handling charge. They recommended using this duty calculator. Given that I don't trust either Parcelfarce's honesty or competence,MIT might be a good idea to double check.

Re: Recent ebay buys
Yes, sounds a lot to me too. I recently bought some kit for my bike from China that cost me £120. I paid £10 VAT and £10 admin charge.
Audio Grail "Sable" Garrard 401 with Cumbrian Green Slate plinth / Audiomods 6 / Benz Micro Gullwing SLR, Phono 2, NVA INT400sa. (Oh and a Copland CDA823 CD Player, for when I fancy a bit of the devil's spawn!)

I really shouldn't have, but I always wanted one in this finish. I've also had a slight "pink" dabble, although it's not here yet.
