I will keep shouting it - radial line from your consumer unit followed by BS546 15amp. The whole job could be done for less than one of those stupidly overpriced plugs.

Call me stupid, but if we hard wire our power leads then a) it will sound better than any connector b) save a few bob

I must say I'm not against fancy connectors, I changed my wall sockets
To pure copper ones (rather than brass) and it made a great difference, so pure copper plugs would make the same difference I'm sure, but it will never be as good as no plug at all.

I've got to admit I've tried a 15a plug and socket and they were pretty good . I've however never got my head around the legality of them so I reluctantly removed them . The Furutech plugs are expensive but give a worthwhile improvement in sound quality IMHO.

Well for me that is obvious, unless your wall is vibrating

But not all of us can do or do it conveniently. The most stupid config is Marco's I am afraid (and I am not just picking on him) hardwiring the wall end and leaving the IEC amp connect. If anything logic dictates it should be the other way around as *ANY* IEC plug / socket combo is worse than any 13 amp combo.
